Yes yes yes!

A big time influence

When I was growing up

And grown up

Hammer-struck me into becoming

Who I am, how I think, what I do

A more demanding sculptor you will not find

And a more earnest sculpture you will not find

At no point did I veer away from

All that I wanted to be

And that was

Never to be anything like my mentor

My mother

Yes I had a mentor

For who I should never be
